Let's make pork chops on the grill
Buy a couple pounds of boneless porkchops. Wash them off under cold water. Put them in a container, cover them with marinade (you can find many different types of marinade in the BBQ section of your grocer; or use Italian dressing -Taco Bell hot sauce makes an excellent marinade), put the lid on the container and place in refrigerator for 1-3 hours.
It's now time to get your grill ready. We're talking charcoal grills, people . . . the way the Good Lord intended it. I suppose a gas grill might work, but I can't safely predict the results. You'll need charcoal, odorless lighter fluid, wooden matches, and patience.
You want your charcoal to cook your food through evenly. To make this happen consistently, pyramid your charcoal as shown above. As you can see, the base of the pyramid is four charcoals by five charcoals. It takes more time than just pouring a pile in, but it gives you control over the cooking.
