The Website of the Year Award has to go to one of the most creative sites I've seen in a long time: www.humanclock.com. Created in March 2001 by Daniel Giffen, the site contains about 2,500 pictures each representing a single minute of the day. It's one of those websites that makes you scratch your head and say to yourself, "Why didn't I think of that." I imagine that it also takes a lot of work to maintain. So, on behalf of The World According to Rick, I hereby name www.humanclock.com, as the website of the year.

WebVerbix is a free on-line verb conjugator. that will conjugate verbs for you in 71 different languages (8 artificial ones, too). Like many of the useful discoveries you come upon on this site, you never know when you'll need them.

Japanese Engrish Apparently, Engrish can be found all over Japan. This site documents some pretty cute examples of misplaced translations. "Let's try homepart fashionably and have a joyful chat with nice fellow." Not a bad salutation for New Year's Eve. http://www.engrish.com/

Mother Against Peeing Standing Up MAPSU is more than just moms – they're real people – dads, young people, and other concerned individuals who want to stop peeing standing up, support the victims (those who have to clean up), and prevent unnecessary urine stream fragmentation. http://www.mapsu.org/

"True morality consists not in following the beaten track, but in finding out the true path for ourselves and in fearlessly following it."
