1 pound ground beef/ground turkey 1 large onion-chopped 1/2 green pepper-chopped 2 cloves garlic-minced 1 14.5 ounce can of diced tomatoes 1 15 ounce can of red kidney beans-rinsed & drained 1 cup tomato sauce 3 teaspoons chili powder 1/2 teaspoon dried basil 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

1) In a large saucepan cook ground beef, onion, green pepper, and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender.
2) Drain fat. Stir in diced tomatoes, kidney beans, tomato sauce, chili powder, basil, and pepper.
3) Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. |
